Crew Your Shoot Make Your Video

Welcome to video you can sink your teeth into!

When you work with us, you put talent, charm, friendliness, honesty and gentle nerdy tendencies in your corner.  In a world full of moving pictures, having high quality with just the right amount of quirk is essential, and that's what we do.

Our ideas are fresh, but we're not.  Our team has over two decades of experience in television broadcast and production.  Not only that, but we've (almost) circled the globe to tell the stories our clients need told (we've crossed 12 time zones, but haven't gone all the way around yet).

Check us out.  If the website leaves you with questions or you generally just prefer human contact, feel free to pester us at our Saskatoon office.  We love to be pestered.

Our Work

Our Work

Hiring a company to make a video for you is not that different from hiring a painter to make a mural.  We spend time with you discussing your ideas, going over similar videos, making mood boards and writing on napkins to make sure that we know your idea and you know how we're going to make it come to life.  All consultations are free, and often involve some delicious coffee!

Coldest Night of the Year is a Canada-wide event to raise awareness and funds to support people living on the street.

Videos are essential in getting Kickstarter projects to their fundraising goal.  The Biktrix Juggernaut campaign is one of those successful ones.

We had the pleasure of being part of a cross-country project that explored the world of Camp Easter Seal across Canada.  This is the Saskatchewan installment.

Dr. Frightful Presents was a touring Fringe theatre show.  We were invited to create some promotional material for it.

Chefs' Gala is an annual fundraiser for a number of arts groups.  Each year features a different theme, showcased in their promotional videos.

About Us

About Us

Damien Kent

_MG_4969.jpg

Damien believes that in a past life he was a pack mule.  His track record shows it, too.  He's hauled gear around the world, and loved every second of it (except the parts with food poisoning).  Damien shoots with everything he can get his hands on, and is an editing wizard.  He's done television news, documentary, some short films - anything that gets him out of the office and into a neat situation.  Heck, he even started teaching cinematography to fill some spare time.

Jackie Kripki

Jackie is the swiss army knife of the team.  Need a shoot organized?  She's on it!  Want a script punched up?  She's already got her gloves on.  Need a story with a delicate balance between comedy and compassion?  She's almost across the tightrope.  With a background in television production, marketing, public relations and producing for broadcast, Jackie has been doing some form of communications for years (just how many is not information a lady gives out).

Need someone to fill out your production crew?  Red Mango is formally trained in film production, and has years of documentary/ENG experience, as well as live television production.  Check out our demo reel and CV, and if you have any questions, our contact info is just below.

These are samples of our work for documentary projects, both local and overseas.

This is some example of news stories we have been involved in at CTV Saskatoon.

Damien Kent curriculum vitae

ideographer, editor, director, writer, team leader, teacher - Damien Kent has worn many hats in his decade of video production.  His greatest skill set is behind the camera, and he is happiest hauling gear through adverse conditions in order to get the shot needed.  Damien follows the Bruce Lee philosophy of "the best style is no style" and it shows in the fluidity of his work. He has worked as an ENG photographer, broadcast and online commercials, multi-cam shows, broadcast documentaries, and dramatic web mini series. His work has taken across the globe, on locations as exotic as Nepal and the Philippines. He has a reputation of being hard working, flexible, cheerful, and is especially skilled in telling the story, no matter what the medium.
